Professionals and collegians should register by September 16 to get the early bird rates! The housing deadline is August 31.

Registration and Admittance Policies

Registration Discount
The Society of Women Engineers has negotiated discounted room rates with select hotels that offer a variety of amenities and are in close proximity to McCormick Place.

OnPeak is the official housing bureau for WE11, and all rooms must be booked through this reservation site.  When you book your hotel room in the SWE block, you receive not only a discounted room rate, but also discounted full paid professional conference registrations. Support the Society of Women Engineers and book your hotel room here.

Refunds
Refunds will be issued for written, faxed or emailed cancellations only, and that are received at the registration office on or before September 9, 2011. No telephone cancellations will be accepted.  Refund is limited to basic registration fees. No ticket prices for special events or tours can be refunded.

Under 18 Years of Age Policies
Attendees must be over 18 years of age to attend a technical tour. Children can accompany parents to any sightseeing tour unless otherwise designated. For safety reasons, no one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the exhibit hall during setup. Minors will be allowed in the exhibit hall during the Career Fair posted hours, but only if accompanied by a parent or guardian. For specific questions regarding age limits and policies, contact the conference manager at 1-800-892-2858.

Guest Fee Clarification
Our special reduced guest fee is limited to one guest per paid registrant (with the exception of the registrant’s children under 18 years of age). The guest fee is limited to participant's spouses and guests. It includes exhibit events and general non-paid social events. Guests are allowed to purchase tickets to paid events when accompanied by a participant, excluding professional Career-Enhancement Series (CES) courses.

Career Fair Only Badges
Local students and professional job seekers are encouraged to attend our Career Fair on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for a nominal fee (refer to registration form for fees). However, this badge is restricted to those seeking positions.

Conference Events

Please check your on-site schedule in your attendee materials to locate your sessions and meetings. All daytime and evening events will be held at McCormick Place. Contact the conference manager at conferencemanager@swe.org for specific questions on events.  An event schedule will be published by July 1, 2011.

Career Resources Center and Cyber Center

If you need to update your résumé, check your email or get some work done for your meeting, WE11 has many resources available free of charge. With the support of our sponsors, we will supply computers and printers, and host Internet access.

Childcare

WE11 will offer on-site childcare services at the conference through a local provider. There is a minimal charge to the attendee, and availability is limited.  Deadline for notification is August 31, 2011.  Please sign up for childcare services through our conference manager at conferencemanager@swe.org.
